General Insurance Agency has a long history of providing excellent insurance products for people just like you. Our agency dates back to 1908, when we first opened our doors in Roy, New Mexico. As time passed, we branched out into Clayton, New Mexico and, in 1995, we opened our business in Clovis, New Mexico.

General Insurance Agency started with what seemed like a simple idea: give customers a great deal on the insurance they actually need. Back then, we consisted of one guy, working out of one room. Now, GIA has grown to include five insurance service professionals working out of our central offices on Mitchell Street in Clovis, New Mexico. What hasn’t changed is our commitment to getting you the RIGHT coverage for the best possible rate.

Kyle Beckner: Agency Manager

In 1985, Kyle joined his father in the insurance business. He lived in Clayton back then and, over time, he came to master his profession. In time, Kyle moved to Clovis to work as a fire fighter and sell insurance. It was in 1995 that Kyle opened the doors to the General Insurance Agency. In 2004, he left the fire department to focus all of his energy on building the growing business into what it is today. That proved to be a smart move.

Kyle has an intense passion for this business and, more importantly, for getting you the best insurance policy for your individual situation. He writes all of the commercial lines that come through the agency and is commited to tailoring a policy to your unique needs. Kyle knows that insurance is more than paper, it’s service.

Kyle lives in Clovis, New Mexico with his wife, Robin. They’ve been married for 25 years and they have 3 children and 1 grandchild together.

Robin Beckner: Personal Lines Manager

Kyle’s wife, Robin, is an integral piece to the General Insurance Agency puzzle. It was on a sunny day in 1995 when Kyle said to his wife, “honey I need you to handle the agency while I go to work at the firehouse”. She had never written an insurance quote, but she took on the challenge.

Almost 15 years later, Robin has become the backbone of the office, managing personal line policies: home owners, auto, health, and more. She is a certified agent and a terrific problem solver. If you need insurance, Robin will work to get you the best policy to cover your unique situation.

Robin is married to her best friend and co-worker, Kyle. They have 3 children and 1 grandchild. Between the two of them, they define what it means to be a successful, family owned and operated business.

Jennifer Macias: Agent

Jennifer joined the General Insurance Agency team in 2006. She is a certified, bilingual agent and spends the majority of her day writing home, auto, and motorcycle policies. Her customers will tell you, she’s an expert. Jennifer loves helping people find the perfect policy for their individual needs.

Jennifer was born on Cannon Air Force Base and raised in Friona, Texas. She’s a “local gal” that chose to stay in the Clovis area to raise her family. Jennifer and her husband have two kids and enjoy riding their Harleys whenever they can. By the way, Jennifer’s is pink!

Teri Cordova: Agent

Teri joined the General Insurance Agency team in May, making her the newest member of the GIA family. She is a bilingual agent and, like Jennifer, spends the majority of her day writing home, auto, and motorcycle policies. When you work with Teri, you'll quickly feel comfortable with her "always-on" smile and bright personality.

Teri lived in Clovis for many years, before heading off to Lubbock. After 15 years there, she decided to come "home" to Clovis, New Mexico. She's married with two adult children and loves to spend time with her family as often as she can. Teri is always ready to share a great story with you, just ask!
